How does acupuncture work?

How does acupuncture work?Modern Western medicine has not yet been able to explain how acupuncture works.  is based on the theories of the flow of Qi (Energy) and Xue (Blood) through distinct meridians or pathways throughout the body. These pathways correspond to the nerves and blood vessels. Acupuncture allows Qi to flow to the area where it is "Deficient" and away from where it is in "Excess". Because of this, acupuncture regulates and restores the harmonious energetic balance of the body.
